Our story began in 2021, when we met in recovery, and it didn’t take long to realize we just fit together almost perfectly—like God had designed us for each other. From the very first conversation, we found ourselves talking for hours without ever running out of things to say. There was something so natural about it, as if we had known each other for a lifetime. Our connection was undeniable, and every laugh and conversation only deepened that bond.

Jimmy came from California to start fresh, and I’ve always called Texas home. While our lives began in different places, we quickly realized how much we were alike. We share the same values, the same passions, and a love for each other that grows deeper with each passing day. Together, we’ve traveled to seven different states, celebrating our victories, facing challenges hand in hand, and building a life full of memories.

One of the greatest joys has been watching the relationship between Jimmy and my son, Gauge, unfold. From the very first time we held hands in front of him—and he tried to pull us apart—to now, when he insists we hold hands so he can show us his backflips, it’s been a joy to see how they’ve bonded.

Our love is grounded in our shared faith, which is a constant source of strength and guidance. We take care of each other, laugh together, work hard for the life we’re building, and always have each other’s backs. We lift each other up, every single day, and love one another fiercely.

Family is everything to us, and we are beyond grateful for the love and support of our families. In February, during a beautiful sunset at my mom's house, surrounded by both of our families, Jimmy asked me to be his forever. It was a moment full of love, joy, and excitement for the future we will build together.
